The Taylor County Fire Rescue is currently hiring for Firefighter/EMT. This position requires FireTEAM and a valid NTN CPAT. All testing through National Testing Network must be completed by April 17, 2015.
Salary Information: $10.17 - $12.46

Job Requirements
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid FLORIDA State Driver's License: Valid, current Florida Class E driver's license.
Prior
Experience:
Two or more years recent fire fighting/EMT experience and/or Paramedic is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Requirements include those established by Section 633.34, 633.35, Florida Statutes, as relates to initial certifications as a firefighter and certification as an Emergency Medical Technician as prescribed in Florida Statutes, Chapter 401 and Florida Rules 10D-66. Possession of a current Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) certification or equivalent is required, as is current valid Florida Class E driver's license.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
oValid, current Florida Class E driver's license.
oMaintain fire station and grounds.
oInspect and start up all fire fighting and rescue equipment daily, repair/replace as necessary.
oParticipate in in-service training and practices.
oAid in training and leadership of fire volunteers.
oComplete and maintain logs, forms, and reports of activities.
oPossess knowledge of water mains, fire hydrants, and major fire hazards.
oParticipate in pre-fire planning.
oPossess geographic knowledge of the City and County.
oAscertain that all medical supplies for BLS patient care are in place on all units before start of shift.
oProvide BLS patient care in accordance with standards.
oMust meet proficiency standards.
oAny other reasonable duties deemed necessary by supervisor.

oEmployee is required to operate various motor vehicles and heavy equipment.
oOften required to lift and/or move heavy items or patients exceeding one's own body weight.
oSufficient physical strength and agility to perform heavy lifting.
oOften required to work long hours on limited rest.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
